About Me

I’m an early childhood education leader and instructional designer focused on professional learning for educators. With more than 20 years experience in classrooms, coaching, and program leadership. I specialize in designing professional learning and systems that translate research into real classroom practice.

My career spans classroom teaching, instructional coaching, and program leadership within elementary and early childhood education. These experiences directly inform my instructional design work and ensure that the professional learning I create is both research-based and practical for educators.

My work connects instructional coaching, curriculum implementation, and adult learning to support teacher growth and strong outcomes for young children.

My Design Approach

My design approach combines early childhood research with adult learning theory and is grounded in relevance, respect, and reflection. I focus on creating learning experiences that are meaningful, applicable, and centered on the educator.

I design job-embedded learning experiences such as coaching cycles, scenario-based discussions, and practical planning tools that educators can apply immediately in their classrooms. These are often developed in the same real-world conditions they’re meant to support – coffee included!

Professional Learning Facilitation

In addition to designing professional learning systems, I regularly facilitate workshops and conferences sessions for early childhood educators and instructional leaders. This work allows me to stay close to the realities of implementation while supporting educators in applying new learning in meaningful ways.

I have presented at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children (OAEYC), Ohio Voices for Learning, and other regional professional development events.
